The project "Strengthening Moldovan mass media capacity to report and monitor security sector reform and Transnistrian conflict settlement" was implemented by the Institute for Public Policy with the financial support from the National Endowment for Democracy between February and July 2012.

The Institute for Public Policy provided professional training to 30 Moldovan journalists and informational support (informational briefs for journalists) on the issues relating to the security sector reform  and the Transnistrian conflict settlement. The trainings were adjusted according to the specific needs of media practitioners and covered practical aspects, such as simmulations and case studies. The project will contribute to the fostering of public debate and public advocacy for the progress in these important areas that will help the Republic of Moldova to reform and democratize.
